5 Minutes Prep - 2 Hour Interactive Lesson!
Teachers and their classes across Canada have begun testing the material from Callan's New Canada Jigsaws.
The feedback from these teachers is helping to make the book a far better resource for the CLB 5 and 6 classes it is targeted for. With the exception of Quebec, there are now field testers from all provinces and from the Yukon. A field tester is currently sought for Quebec.
Here below is Tetiana's LINC 6 class in Edmonton testing the Alberta jigsaw.
Here below is Tracey's LINC 4-5 class in Winnipeg testing the PEI unit.
Here below is Smiljka's CLB 4-5-6 class in Sudbury testing the New Brunswick unit.
Here below is Steven's CLB 5-6 class in Saskatoon proving jigsaws can work even if you don't have groups of four.
Here below are five students from Marianne's class in Richmond testing the government unit.
What's involved in being a field tester? Simply choose ONE or more units you would like to test, try them out in your class, and send your feedback back written on the unit.
If you would like to be a tester, please send this form to esljigsaws at gmail dot com.
Here are the units to choose from that still need further testing: Chinese Building the Railway, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec-including Understanding Quebec Separatism, New Brunswick, PEI, Nova Scotia, Yukon, and Northwest Territories.
I'd like to test Government, BC, and Aboriginals
